Discover one of the most breathtaking places in the Faroe Islands — the Drangarnir sea stacks — on this unique combination of Drangarnir Boat and Hike tour.
This experience offers the best of both worlds: a scenic boat transfer across Sørvágsfjørður and a self-paced hike through untouched Faroese nature.
Your journey begins at Sørvágur harbour, where you board a small boat that takes you toward Tindhólmur and Drangarnir. During the short transfer, you’ll glide past dramatic cliffs and open sea views — a perfect chance to take photos of the rugged landscape and wildlife along the way.
After arriving at the starting point of the trail, you’ll begin the hike toward the famous Drangarnir viewpoint. The guide’s role is to ensure your safety, follow local regulations, and make sure everyone respects the protected nature area — giving you the freedom to enjoy the surroundings at your own pace.
The hike offers sweeping views of Tindhólmur island, Mykines, and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll walk across grass-covered hills and rocky terrain until you reach the incredible sight of Drangarnir itself — two towering sea stacks rising dramatically from the sea. Here, you can relax, enjoy snacks, and capture photos that truly define the Faroe Islands’ wild beauty.
When you’ve finished exploring, you’ll hike back to the starting point where the boat will be waiting to take you safely back to Sørvágur. This tour is designed for independent travelers who enjoy exploring nature without constant guiding — but still want the safety and comfort of local supervision and a boat transfer.
